Protracted Argument Will Delay Auto Insurance Payment

After an auto accident has occurred, those involved in the accident would want to file a claim for compensation to cover damage to the car, personal injury and out of pocket expenses caused by the auto accident. Auto insurance claims can drag on for many days or even months depending on whether the claimants and the auto insurance company are able to reach an amicable settlement to the matter.

On the average, auto insurance companies would be able to settle any less complicated dispute with those claiming compensation from the company in a matter of weeks. However, when the two parties are locked up in a complicated argument, then the issue could be a never ending one.

The question then becomes, what constitutes a complicated auto insurance dispute between the claimant and the auto insurance company? Most often, disagreements are based on the exact amount of money the claimant should receive.

Upon assessment of the incident, the auto insurance company may feel that what the claimant is asking for is a bit over the limit but the claimant may object to this assertion and still hold on to his or her demands.
